Fall 2022 CFP: Deadline Extended to May 15


The Fall 2022 issue of Teaching History will be a special issue devoted to history educators’ use of the un-essay. Considered any type of assignment or project that is not the traditional written history essay, un-essays are being utilized at every level to facilitate student learning.  Submissions should describe the specific “un-essay" assignment, explain how it enables students to demonstrate their learning, and situate the assessment in the scholarship of teaching and learning. Any quotations/use of student work must be used only by permission. Wordcount should be between 2,500 and 5,000 words but shorter or longer submissions may be considered. Questions?
