Abstract

This paper examines the popularity of the Four Horsemen within media today by looking at the
television shows Supernatural and Sleepy Hollow. These two examples of Four Horsemen portrayals allow viewers to imagine a hopeful victory over the apocalypse that other depictions of apocalyptic events don’t allow for. This paper studies the history of the Book of  Revelation and its depiction in popular culture to better understand the importance of these optimistic outcomes in which apocalypse is averted
