Call for Special Issue Proposals

The Journal of Special Education Preparation (JOSEP), in collaboration with TED, is soliciting manuscripts for a special issue on special education teacher preparation and the teacher shortage crisis. Articles in this special issue will meet the aims and scope of JOSEP by discussing persistent teacher shortages from the perspective of teacher preparation programs. We encourage the submission of manuscripts that discuss innovative approaches for attracting and preparing special educators within institutions of higher education.

  • Submit a draft abstract detailing your proposed manuscript to Sarah Nagro by 12/5/22

  • Selected authors notified by 12/12/22

  • Full manuscripts submission due 1/15/23

  • May 2023 Release of Special Issue

  • Co-author teams are encouraged.
  • The first author must be a TED member for this special issue.
